This venue, housed in a historic building, offers well-equipped rooms.

It provided a convenient stop en route from South West France to the Cross Channel ferry at Caen in a particularly lovely area of the Loire Valley. We were able to visit a number of interesting locations during our short stay.

Although the food was excellent, there were incidents on two occasions relating to the length of time it took to bring food to our table. This also included serious mistakes and omissions by the waiters. These were reported at the time and dealt with in an atmosphere of good will and to our satisfaction.

It provided the ideal ambiance for a short holiday with friends where we could relax and enjoy excellent service

There was a lack of long hanging cupboard space for my wife's clothes.

Pleasant overall experience. A wonderful hotel, nice views, stunning location to a day's sightseeing. Very very good breakfast — variety of meals. Very comfortable building and rooms with comfortable decoration. Location right by centre of old town with historia abbey, the main square of the village and the attached restaurant.

very off-hand reception and difficult parking instructions; small uninspiring room for 109 euros. it was our least favourite experience in a three week trip.

The room we stayed in had a charming old theme and a super comfortable bed, all for £88.

Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent dinner in the Plantegenet restaurant and the breakfast was also good. Parking was very convenient and the hotel's location across the street from the Abbey couldn't be better. In spite of the cramped room the bed was comfortable and the shower was fine.

Our room was on the top floor. The clothes cupboard was tiny -- long enough to hang a t-shirt maybe! The furnishings were quite poor. I don't know what the rooms on the floor below were like; we would have booked a more expensive room that didn't involve so many stairs if we had known how crowded it would be. If you want to see the Abbey and stay overnight there are not many choices, so I would recommend if you are staying only one night.

The hotel was absolutely charming in every respect. the staff at the reception desk were accommodating. - the room was spacious with a fan, perfect for a holiday. - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.
